Your privacy is important to us. This Digital Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how The First National Bank & Trust Co. collects and uses personal information when you visit, use or interact with us online or through our online services, The First National Bank & Trust Co. Mobile Banking (FNBT Mobile) application, or social sites (“Sites and Mobile Apps”).

It also explains how we may use or share personal information collected through ads displayed in online services operated by us, or non-affiliated third parties, to deliver products and services to you, as well as for advertising purposes.

If you have a financial product or service with us, we will use and share any information that we collect from or about you in accordance with our consumer Privacy Policy which applies to U.S. customers and consumers as described in the notice.

The term “we”, “us” or “our” in this Policy refers to The First National Bank & Trust Co. and non-banking affiliates that link to or reference this Policy.  By using the Sites and Mobile Apps, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Policy.

Why?
Financial companies choose how they share your personal information. Federal law gives consumers the right to limit some but not all sharing. Federal law also requires us to tell you how we collect, share and protect your personal information. Please read this notice carefully to understand what we do.

The types of personal information we collect and share depend on the product or service you have with us. This information can include:

When you are no longer our customer, we continue to share your information as described in this notice.

What we do
How does First National Bank & Trust Company protect my personal information? To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law. These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

FNBT ensures that employees understand the importance of confidentiality. The Bank maintains physical, electronic and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your nonpublic personal information.

Updates to Policy and Effective Date

When we make updates to this Digital Privacy Policy, we will update this document with the changes and revise the “Last Updated” date posted at the top of this Policy.  Any updates to this Policy become effective when we post it on our Site.  Your use of the Site, after any updates, indicates your acceptance of the updated Policy to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Personal Information We Collect

How we Collect Personal Information Online —   We collect personal information about you through your computer, smartphone, tablet or other mobile devices by the use of cookies and similar tracking technologies.  We also collect personal information you provide to us when you visit or use our Sites and Mobile Apps, for example when you open an account or conduct a transaction, apply for a loan or use your debit or credit card.  We also collect your personal information from others such as credit bureaus or other companies.   

Types of Personal Information We Collect Online —  The type of personal information we collect from and about you online will depend on how you interact with us and may include your user name and password, name, email address, mailing address, telephone number(s), account numbers and location information (for example, a zip code to help you find a nearby ATM).  We may also collect payment card information, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers (or other identification) when you provide such information while using our online services and where we believe it is reasonably required for ordinary business purposes.

Information Collected through FNBT Mobile – The First National Bank & Trust Co. offers you the ability to access some of our products and services through mobile applications and mobile-optimized websites (“FNBT Mobile”). When you interact with us through FNBT Mobile, we may collect information such as unique device identifiers for your mobile device, your screen resolution and other device settings, information about your location, and analytical information about how you use your mobile device.  Location information may be collected even when the app is not in use.  We may ask your permission before collecting certain information (such as precise geo-location information) through FNBT Mobile.

Online Usage and Other Information Collected –  In addition to the personal information described in this Policy, we may collect information about your use of our online services.  We may capture the IP address of your device, display settings, the types of operating system and browser you are using and the online services you access.  We or our third-party vendors may also use cookies, web beacons, geo-location (with consent), camera access (with consent), or other technologies to collect and store information about your interactions with us while using our online services.

Additional Sources of Information Collected – We may use service providers and vendors to process personal information for business purposes on our behalf.  Service providers and vendors are contractually obligated to comply with our policies to protect information we share with them or they collect on our behalf.  The personal information we collect is limited to what is required to provide our products or services and to support legal, regulatory and risk requirements.  We may associate your usage and other information we collect online with personal information about you under this Digital Privacy Policy.

Children’s Privacy — We recognize the importance of protecting privacy where children are involved.  Our Sites and Mobile Apps are not directed to individuals under the age of 13.  We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

How we Use Information Collected

Personal information collected from and about you online may be used for many purposes such as:

  • Verifying your identity (for example when you access your account information);
  • Delivering products and services to you;
  • Processing transactions or applications;
  • When access is granted, allowing you to use features that require access to personal information from your device, such as contact lists or geo-location.  For example, when locating an ATM or bank location;
  • Communicating with you;
  • Detecting and preventing fraud;
  • Performing analytics and Site management to improve customer experience;
  • Analyzing data to create relevant alerts, messages or services;
  • Providing marketing on our Sites and Mobile Apps as well as non-affiliated third party sites and through off-line channels like financial centers, call centers and direct marketing (for example email, mail and phone);
  • Complying with and enforcing applicable legal requirements, relevant industry standards, contractual obligations and our policies;
  • Enforcing our terms and conditions;
  • For any other purposes that we may specifically disclose at the time you provide or we collect your information.

Some features included in digital banking may request your consent to access personal or sensitive data located on your device.  For example:

  • FNBT Mobile may collect location data when you search for an ATM or one of our bank locations even when the app is closed or not in use. 
  • FNBT Mobile may collect biometric data to enable the use of fingerprints, facial, voice, or other methods used while accessing our services. 
  • FNBT Mobile may request access to your camera when using mobile remote deposit.
  • FNBT Mobile may request access to your contact list when processing transactions (paying other people).
  • FNBT Mobile may use cookies, web beacons, or other tracking technologies for various purposes, such as fraud prevention and monitoring our advertising and marketing campaign performance.

We retain personal information for a period of time as required by laws and regulations and for necessary business purposes. We may also use data that we collect on an aggregate or anonymous basis for various business purposes, where permissible under applicable laws and regulations.

How we Share Information Collected

We may share the information we collect from and about you with service providers and for essential purposes such as:

  • To provide you with products and services from third-party service providers or vendors,  when permissible under relevant laws and regulations;
  • To comply with legal requirements such as the demands of applicable subpoenas and court orders;
  • To verify or enforce our terms and conditions, other rights, or applicable policies;
  • To address fraud, security or technical issues;
  • To protect the rights, property or security of our customers or third parties.

How we Use Cookies, Web Beacons and Similar Technologies

We, or our service providers, may deploy and use cookies, web beacons, local shared objects and other tracking technologies for various purposes, such as fraud prevention and monitoring our advertising and marketing campaign efforts.  Some of these tracking tools may detect characteristics or settings of the specific device you use to access our online services.

“Cookies” are small amounts of data a website can send to a visitor’s web browser. They can be stored on your device and used to help track your activity and areas of interest.  Cookies may also enable us or our service providers to customize or improve your online experience.  Most web browsers allow you to adjust your browser settings to decline or delete cookies.  Deleting cookies may affect your online experience.

  • Clear GIFs, pixel tags or web beacons (typically one-pixel, transparent images located on a webpage or in a message) or similar technologies may be used on our sites and in some of our communications.  They may also be used when you are presented with advertisements or you interact with advertisements outside of our online services.  These are principally used to help recognize users, assess traffic patterns and measure site or campaign engagement.
  • Local Shared Objects, sometimes referred to as “flash cookies” may be stored on your hard drive using a media player or other software installed on your device. Local Shared Objects are similar to cookies in terms of their operation, but may not be managed in your browser in the same way.

Online Advertising

Personal information collected from and about you online, as described in this Policy, may be used and shared to deliver advertising and marketing messages to you.  These advertisements may be for our own products or services or for products and services offered by third parties.  Which advertisements you see may be determined using the information we or our service providers have about you, including information about your relationships with us (e.g., types of accounts, transaction history and location of activity).  Where permitted by applicable law, we may share with others the information we collect from and about you for these purposes.

Linking to Third-Party Websites

The First National Bank & Trust Co. may provide online links to websites that are owned or operated by other companies (“third-party websites”).  If you use an online link to visit a third-party website, you will be subject to that website’s privacy and security policies, which may differ from ours. You should review the privacy policy, terms of use and security practices of the linked third-party website before providing any information on that website.

Security

To protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use, we use security measures that comply with federal law.  These measures include computer safeguards and secured files and buildings.

Please note that information you send to us electronically may not be secure when it is transmitted to us.  We recommend that you do not use unsecure channels to communicate sensitive or confidential information (such as your Social Security number) to us.

Maintaining your Information

Keeping your personal information accurate and up to date is very important. You may review and update limited information by logging in to your online banking profile.  If you cannot update the information online, please call us at (405) 224-2200, visit one of our bank locations or write to us at the address shown on your account statement.

Aggregation Services

Some companies offer aggregation services that allow you to consolidate your account information with us so you can view it in one location or perform actions related to your accounts using their services (a “Provider”). To do this, a Provider may request you to authorize access to your First National Bank & Trust Co. accounts by providing your online banking login credentials.

  • The Provider may access, on your behalf, information about yourself, your First National Bank & Trust Co. relationship, and your accounts at The First National Bank & Trust Co.
  • You should use caution and ensure that the Provider has appropriate policies and practices to protect the privacy and security of any personal information you provide or to which they are gaining access.
  • Use of your information by the Provider is governed by your agreement with them, not by The First National Bank & Trust Co.
  • We are not responsible for the use or disclosure of any personal information accessed by any company or person to whom you provide your online banking login credentials.
  • If you share your First National Bank & Trust Co. username, password or other information about your accounts with others, we will consider that you have authorized any transaction or action initiated by using the access information you provide.
  • If you decide to revoke the authority you have given to a Provider, we strongly recommend that you change your First National Bank & Trust Co. password to ensure the Provider cannot continue to access your account.

Social Media

First National Bank & Trust Co. engages with customers on social media platforms such as Facebook®, Twitter®, Instagram® and YouTube®.

  • Any content you post on official First National Bank & Trust Co. managed social media pages, such as pictures, information, opinions or any personal information that you make available to other participants on these social platforms, is subject to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policies of those respective platforms.
  • When interacting with official First National Bank & Trust Co.’s social media pages, our privacy notices, social media user terms and community guidelines may apply.
  • Please review the privacy policy for the specific social media service you are using to better understand your rights and obligations with regard to such content.

We may allow certain non-affiliated third party widgets (for example social share buttons) on our sites that enable users to easily share information on another platform, such as a social media platform. The non-affiliated third parties that own these widgets may have access to information about your browsing on pages of our Sites and Mobile Apps where these widgets are placed.
