Ryan Odom

Senior Vice-President, Lender

With more than 30 years of experience in consumer and commercial financial services – most of that in management – I remember starting my banking career as a teller right out of high school. I was attending college and considering career paths.

At first, I wanted to follow the footsteps of many of my family members into education.  I continued that path through college while working at different local banks in Oklahoma City, experiencing all that makes a bank function on a daily basis.

After graduating college in 1997, I was offered a job with a local finance company helping people with debt consolidation and making personal loans.  I quickly knew that helping people better themselves financially and meeting so many people from different backgrounds on a daily basis fulfilled a void I had professionally.  Over the past 20 years, I have worked in finance and the banking industry as a teller, manager, personal banker, manager in treasury services/cash management department, as a professional and executive lender and in commercial lending.  Each position led me to the next opportunity in banking while developing a better overall understanding of what and how clients use banks not just as a financial resource but also as a partnership.

Helping people reach and accomplish their financial goals both personally and for their business is what makes me smile the most — the feeling you get while making a difference in their success and for their family.

When I’m not at the bank, I spend most all my time supporting my kids with their school activities in the field or on the track, traveling across the state from game to game for club soccer and track events.  Seeing my children grow and mature into young adults and the values they have learned from sports has played a major role in their personal development.  We also enjoy going to the lake when we’re not playing sports and participating in everything the water has to offer, I think my children have developed a love for the outdoors as much as I have.

Being in banking for the past 20 years in so many different areas has given me the greatest opportunity to better assist and understand what helps clients the most for their success!
