My iPhone X uses facial recognition instead of a fingerprint button. Can I login to FNBT Mobile with my face?
Absolutely. Visit your settings and be sure that function is turned on.
Why did the bank choose this mobile app?
Convenience for you, our customer, is reason No. 1. One of the biggest concerns expressed by customers is, “why do I need login credentials for two separate systems: online and mobile?” This mobile app by FNBT is the solution. Previously you needed two separate logins. Now the same login and password are used for both online and mobile apps.
Favorite features include a robust, full billpay system in a mobile environment and fingerprint login.
What does the app look like?
Simple. Familiar. User-friendly.
If I use Online Banking now, how do I start using the mobile app?
Simple. Just download the app from the App Store or Google Play, and use the same login credentials that you use for Online Banking. Bam! Start using it.
If I don’t use Online Banking, how do I get the mobile app?
Visit the App Store or Google Play and download the new FNBT Mobile App.
Naturally it’s free. To activate it, you’ll need to sign up for our Online Banking service, which is easy because we’ve put the simple application right there in the mobile app. See the “Sign up” button on the login screen (below). If you have any trouble, we want to hear about it
What is different on this mobile app?
Billpay is the most attractive and most requested feature. But you’ll find other features to love, like fingerprint login, and a Location Search that helps you find our banks as well as ATMs. Also, we’ve added a funds transfer service to help you pay friends directly. These various features in FNBT Mobile are free, except funds transfer, which requires a fee of .95 cents per transaction.
What do these services cost me? Are there fees?
Both Online Banking and Mobile Banking are free to FNBT customers who are in consumer accounts. Download the app for free, and signup for Online Banking for free too. Naturally if you violate bank policies, such as making an overdraft, there may be fees attached, but these basic services (Online and Mobile) are free to consumer account holders.
Can I pay bills through the app?
Absolutely. We hoped you’d ask that. And it’s easier than you think. It works seamlessly with your FNBT Online Banking portal, if you use that already. Or, it can work independently. If you haven’t done so already, you can use Online Banking to enter the name, address and account numbers for the companies to which you owe bills (“payees”). Or, you can add payees in FNBT Mobile too. From then on, it’s a click-and-confirm to send them money – from your mobile device (in the app) or from any computer.
How do I know if my phone will allow fingerprint login?
Great question. All Androids must be running at least version 6.0 which is Marshmallow. Apple phones must be running IOS 7, which was first released on the Apple iPhone 5S, or higher. There are dozens of different phones on the market that allow fingerprint login; new ones are being added all the time.
Is the fingerprint login required? What if I don’t want to use that?
No problem. A traditional login works too. Remember that your Online Banking and Mobile Banking are connected now, so they use the same login credentials. Some older smart phones don’t permit fingerprint login, so that feature is available only for those users whose phone will accept it. Our customers tell us that it’s quick and secure, and they love it.
If I want to transfer funds between accounts, how late in the day can I do that?
Believe it not, the cutoff time for electronic transfers is 8 p.m.! This is true for all FNBT customers in consumer accounts who use mobile or digital banking. This is good news because transfers initiated as late as 8 p.m. will be processed same-day.
Will all customers be able to do mobile banking deposits?
Making deposits by snapping a picture of the check is available in the app, but not to all customers. This service is available to FNBT customers in consumer accounts. And, if you’ve had overdrafts or other issues, your mobile deposit privileges might be limited or revoked. Call the bank if you’re not sure. And, on a special day when you have a large check to deposit, you can call the bank and have your deposit limit raised for that special deposit.
If I register for Mobile Banking, will I automatically be able to use the internet login?
Yes. With this new mobile platform, your mobile experience will be an extension of your online experience. They work together. If you change your password in either one, it is changed for both.
Will I be able to view my eStatements thru the mobile app?
No, however, you can select the “More” button followed by selecting “Visit Website” and login to our website to see them. Remember, you’ll be using the same username and password for Mobile and Online Banking services.
